Who is Lochinvar?

Lochinvar is a character that a play on a muck called Sinai, an environment designed with role-playing in mind. He is a winged coyote with a bit of an odd background. It should be noted first of all that in this world, coyotes (called Hekoye) generally keep themselves to themselves, and are regular plantigrade bipeds, and certainly do not have wings. Lochinvar does, of course, and this makes him a certainly unique individual. His stance is digitigrade, also unique for Hekoye, but this is not as obvious as his extra limbs. He is believed to be half-Hekoye/half Vartan (hippogryph), though this is somewhat shrouded a bit in mystery as he was abandoned as a cub by his real parents, and taken in by a Vartan couple, who raised him as their own, and as one of them. Because of his upbringing, and Vartans being pretty much the only kind he knew in his early life, he believes himself to be a Vartan, but different. This subject still brings a modicum of teasing to him when asked about his background. Fortunately, through working closely with other Vartans, and occasionally proving himself, he's become certainly well known, sometimes liked, and even respected.
His intelligence is 'quite above average' than other Vartans, and in his spare time, and positions aboard airships travelling to other lands around Sinai, he has become quite a linguist, and more recently due to his work with the Temple of Rephidim he's been called on as an envoy or sometimes diplomat.
Presently, he is employed by the Rephidim Temple as a Ranger, which could be described as a form of 'countryside policeman', but often seems to lead to other tasks.

Lochinvar's description

A simple glance is not enough to determine exactly what Lochinvar is, but on your second look, it begins to be apparent. He mostly looks like a Heyoke by his facial features and dusty-grey fur coloration, but the similarity abruptly ends with his digitigrade stance, not to mention the rather obvious black feathered wings that arch from his back. To call him a Heyoke just seems entirely inappropriate, in fact, if you had to liken him to any other race, Vartan would most likely be the closest, as like them, he wears a pair of work breeches and nothing above his waist at all, lest it get in the way of his wings. Even in his tail, he appears to have a fair collection of 'shinies' amongst the fur there. Certainly, you've never seen anything like him before, and you have to wonder how he came to be, and why a coyote would try to be almost like a Vartan.
