Gryfsune (anthro)
You see before you an anthro gryphon of some kind, but not one that looks
like you may have seen in books, or heard tales about. Rather than the
dull earthy colors of a bird of prey and the tawny gold of a lion, this
gryphon resembles a brightly colored bird, perhaps a parrot of some kind
at first glance, and some form of canine.
Now that you've had your first glance, you take a second closer look. It's
head is covered mostly in bright, iridiscant blue feathers, which trace
the outside of long, swept back eartufts, the inside of which are a soft
yellow. This same yellow feathering also forms a half-collar on the back
of the gryphon's neck, which fades into the blue around the front, and
green underneath it at the back, which slips under the blue in front too.
It's beak is short and orange, hardly raptor like. This green blends into
red across the chest, which - due to the keel in avians - makes him look
like he has hints of breasts. Wings arch from around the shoulderblades,
with a green leading edge, giving way to red, then orange and finally
yellow at the tips - almost firelike. His arms are slim, with light grey
scales from just below his elbows to end in slender talons for his hands.
With the rest of the torso equally lithe and slim as the rest of the
gryph's body so far, you could almost confuse him for being a her. Yet
despite grey and rust furred hips which have some definition, he does have
a rather obvious sheath gracing the area just below his stomach. The rust
color seems to start at the base of his crotch, running down the inside of
his digitigrade - yet just as slender - legs, starting to move around
towards the front of his legs around the knee area, become fully that
color just above the ankle. The canine part, then, is actually vulpine,
and similar to a grey fox. However, instead of a fox tail, he instead has
5 distinct tail feathers, each as long as to just below his knees, colored
red, purple, blue, green and yellow.
Typically, he wears a pair of light tan shorts that are long enough to
just below knee length, which mostly hide the rust and grey colored fur of
his legs. |
